The Kenosha Festival of Cartooning

This September, Anne Hambrock is putting together The Kensoha Festival of Cartooning.

From the kickstarter page:
“The Kenosha Festival of Cartooning is a 3 day festival of live presentations, workshops, a gallery show, panel discussions and community outreach by some of the nation’s top cartoonists. The funds raised will be for the appearance fees, travel and lodging expenses of the artists and will allow the Festival events to be completely free to the public. The funds raised will also pay for publicity materials for the festival and to defray shipping costs for some of the original artwork in the festival exhibit.

Our AWESOME guest speakers are: Stephan Pastis of Pearls Before Swine, Greg Cravens of The Buckets, Michael Jantze from The Norm and Jantze Animation Studios, Norm Feuti of Retail and Gil and Dave Coverly of Speed Bump and Parade Magazine. And our panel moderator will be the amazing Tom Racine.”

As a huge fan of comic strips, and as a comic creator I really want to see this project realized. I’m calling upon all who read this to click the link at the bottom and help Anne reach her funding goal!

(Re-blogged from Hobo and Bowser.)
This June the “Team Cul de Sac” book is coming out in honor of cartoonist, Richard Thompson. Proceeds from the sale of the book are going to help raise money to fight Parkinson’s disease. (Richard Thompson was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 2009.)
The book has been put together by Chris Sparks, and is now Available for pre-order.

Why should you buy this book?
#1: It’s for a good cause.
#2: You’ll find the works of over 150 cartoonists contained within. (And I happen to be one of them!)

Go pre-order the ““Team Cul De Sac” book, now!
